We Need New Blood

we here at DCA need things, new rules, new members, new admins? new mods? new testers? who knows. you all know, so below id like everyone to make a post about something they think DCA need's to improve on, or get better at, and please no replying to someones post, consider this the suggestion box. and Don't reply saying stupid shit or its a auto ban for 10minutes just kidding... kinda

We need more than one active Admin! People who know what they are doing as well. They dont nessasarily need to be good duelists.

Well we obviously need more active members because only like 20 actually are active on here but at various times. More mods, admins?because basically you are probably the only main active one on here. Maybe a new theme to the site? I know its suppose to be "dark" related but maybe try other colors or something to kinda give it a new refreshing look?

Something that i learned from when i did guild raids and such in world of warcraft is that organization is key and a schedule of times for various members, however much of this takes dedication to some degree as well as willing participants

i think we should have more wars and events, also we need more active admins and more mods.

mods are enough, britchs is inactive, i suggest u change him, mods are enough since kaiser and darkyami's active, and we should hold more wars and tourneys too

That is true i haven't seen you on in a while. Even if you did get on its only for a short time.

i say we should change things up a bit by having double exp every Friday, double DCA points every Sunday and Thursday, and last but not least have battle for position day for admins mods and testers so there spots can change and for dorms they can battle for position in the dorm and this will be on Saturday but you need an amount of exp to battle for that position and if you loose your lvl decreases by one

I think we should have Deck Testers or Trainers you know, people who can help others who aren't that good at dueling. Whether it be helping them construct a deck, or by helping them test their deck and telling them their decks flaws. I for one would very much appreciate it if there was someone i could go to to help me perfect my deck strategies.

And another idea could be a Challenge Room.
where you can call out challenges to other duelists, ex:

We already have that. Check out the Shadow Arena.

Hmm I don't know maybe a Partner field on Profile, as well as the option to change our own Account names, taking some of the work off of your backs as well

I think we need more active testers like no tester are on ever like seriously if I where a tester I be on every day.

Quality over quantity! Every time. If we have 20 loyal, active members that's better than 100 stragglers.

If it was up to me, I would suggest our phases go:
Phase 1: Construction
Phase 2: Idea Implementation
Phase 3: Recruitment
Phase 4: Retention

Now, we are in Phase 2.5 essentially. We have enough Admins and enough Mods for all idea implementation. "Power" should be kept within a small, tightly-knit group; while democracy is essential so that this power is not APPLIED only to the small amount of people who hold it, but is distributed through the PEOPLE so that the powers can implement it, having a small "upper" community is still a means of ensuring less corruption, modification and destruction of the forums - content-wise and production-wise.

Right now, as it stands, I suggest we put up for review each member of staff:
Admins
Mods
Designers
Testers

And allocate jobs and resources to each of these members so that the full breadth of power is explored, enabling this Academy to be more EFFECTIVE and EFFICIENT.

Then, with tasks delegated to each loyal member, we can ensure that recruitment successfully continues and members are retained through the value that our efficiency provides with such tasks that are given to us staff members.

So please, continue with your ideas!
